LCT Centres

There are two LCT research centres that offer mentoring, support, training programmes and a host of other resources for the community.

LCT Centre - Global

Hosting the Routledge book series on Legitimation Code Theory and offering free online seminars, workshops, supervisions and a lot more. The LCT Centre began its activities from the moment the LCT community emerged but became an official research centre at the University of Sydney in 2016 and then independent in 2023. The Centre Director is Professor Karl Maton

Wits LCT Hub

The ‘Wits LCT Hub’ is a research centre dedicated to LCT at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. It offers a collegial and dynamic community to those who research and teach with LCT. Members come from a wide variety of fields, including teacher education, engineering, accounting, health sciences, information technology, science, mathematics, pharmacy, nursing and more.
